DearSoft MCP Server for OpenCart

Give AI assistants (Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client) live, read-only access to your OpenCart 3.x store's product catalog — product details, search, categories, and store info — through a standard MCP JSON-RPC interface.

This is not a standalone npx package. It's the MCP endpoint of the DearSoft OpenCart extension: install DearSoft on your own OpenCart store, and it exposes an authenticated MCP server at your store's own domain.

Tools

• get_product — Full product details by ID (price, stock, images, categories, reviews)
• search_products — Keyword search with optional price range, category, and stock filters
• list_products — Paginated product listing with category filter
• list_categories — Full category tree with product counts
• get_store_info — Store name, platform, currency, product/category counts

How it works

• Endpoint: POST https://{your-store}/index.php?route=extension/module/dearsoft_api/mcp
• Transport: Streamable HTTP (stateless JSON-RPC over POST — no SSE session required)
• Protocol versions supported: 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26, 2024-11-05
• Auth: per-store API key (generated in your OpenCart admin), sent via Authorization: Bearer <key>, X-API-Key: <key>, or ?api_key=<key>
• Free plan: capped at 5 results per search/list call. Pro plan: up to 100.

Requirements

• An OpenCart 3.x store with the DearSoft extension installed and enabled
• A DearSoft API key (Extensions → Modules → DearSoft → API tab, in your OpenCart admin)
