Setup the different pieces

The MCP server calls the Shahnameh API behind the scenes, so you need to keep that running first. Please refer to the repository below for more information:

Also, please bear in mind that the API uses a database, which can be found here: Shahnameh Dataset

How to Test the Tools

Create and activate the virtual environment. For example, on macOS:

uv venv  # Create the virtual environment

source .venv/bin/activate  # Activate the virtual environment

Then run the inspector:

npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector python3 main.py
